KATRINA ALEXANDER
"Jewellery has always played a large part in my life and I have always loved the history of storytelling through jewellery. To me a piece of jewellery can provide comfort, make you smile, give you confidence or simply delight you. It becomes a part of you.”
Each piece is carefully thought through to ensure it sits within the ongoing Infinity Collection. There are no jagged edges to catch and snare here. Each item is designed to be tactile, with non-symmetrical edges that hang in different ways, responding to the movement of the body, meaning the jewellery can be worn in different ways. Each piece is meticulously carved and finished in wax before being cast into silver, the metal Katrina has chosen to specialise in - albeit with a touch of gold here and there.
She is a member of the Association of Contemporary Jewellery and all of her jewellery bears the makers mark alongside the Assay office hallmarks, in line with the Hallmarking Act 1973.
