Joanna Osborne
joanna osborne
Joanna makes ceramic dogs on earthenware, 'mainly hounds because of their natural elegance, refined features and delightful natures'. Her dogs beautifully capture the canine characteristics and personalities of our best furry friends.
Her muse is a rescue Whippet Bedlington, called Edie. Joanna's 'Vulnerable Greyhound' was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019 and was, unsurprisingly, positioned centre stage in the first room.
Prior to sculpting dogs, Joanna with Sally Muir, ran a knitting business, Muir & Osborne. With Sally, they have written ten knitting pattern books, including two books for fifty different dog breeds.
