Hilary Brown
HILARY BROWN
I am interested in everything that surrounds me. Natural forms, industrial objects, erosion and decay. Structures; their thinness and delicacy as they disintegrate. I'm influenced by jewellery of the ancient world and the light papery quality of very thin metal. I work mainly with silver, sometimes gold plated, sometimes oxidised. I see my jewellery as miniature sculptures.
